Color Guidance Lanes (Joo-haeng-yu-do-seon ): What are those bright pink and green lines on the road?

In the past, Koreean highways and city intersections were incredibly confusing. When approaching a largejuction (a place where multiple roads meet) , drivers had to quickly read multiple overhead signs. This confusion caused drivers to change lanes at the last minute, leading to severe traffic accidents.    In March 2011, a tragic and fatal traffic accident occurred at the Ansan Juction on the West Coast Expressway. A paassenger car and a cargo truck crashed simply because they were confused about which lane to take. In fact, this area always used to be a frequent car accident spot, with 20~30 traffic accidents occuring every year.  So Mr. Yoon Seok-deok, an employess of the Korea Expressway Corporation wanted to do something about this problem. 한일 글로벌 그린 정책 대화 개최

산업통상자원부는 17일 일본 경제산업성과 함께 제2차 한-일 글로벌 그린정책 대화를 개최하여 글로벌 탄소규제 대응, 탄소중립 정책 및 청정에너지 분야 협력에 대해 논의했습니다. 이 회의는 양국 산업통상장관회담의 후속조치로 진행되었으며, 탄소규제 강화와 무역장벽 방지를 위한 공동 대응이 중요한 주제로 다뤄졌습니다. 향후 두 국가는 탄소중립 달성을 위한 다양한 협력을 확대하기로 합의하였습니다.

글로벌 탄소규제 대응의 중요성

최근 세계적으로 탄소규제를 강화하는 흐름이 급격히 진행되고 있습니다. 유럽연합(EU)과 영국의 탄소국경조정제도와 같은 국제적 조치들은 각국의 산업 및 무역에 상당한 영향을 미치고 있습니다. 따라서 한-일 글로벌 그린정책 대화에서는 이러한 글로벌 탄소규제들에 대해 어떻게 효과적으로 대응할지를 주제로 심도 깊은 논의를 하였습니다.

Before Cotton: Clothes Were a Winter Problem Before cotton became common, ordinary Koreans mainly depended on hemp cloth . Silk was available, but it was expensive and mostly used by the upper class.
